The quiet ones always pick their moments to speak, choosing to save their words for when it matters most. Well here you go: the man most famous for being silent, makes a poignant speech, first aired in 1940 and so relevant to yesterdays “act of war” by IS, the deadliest attacks in peacetime France, and the worst attrocity in Europe since the 2004 Madrid bombings. Putin de merde.

Watched the news reports flood in as it happened last night, and more coverage this morning. At this point I could make some comment about “be the change” and “it only take one person to start a change”, but that doesn’t matter right now. I just fucking hope my friends in Paris and France are really fucking safe, and away from all this.
